A bit about the club
Having no 'local port', our members travel quite large distances by road often sharing to keep
costs down.
In the past the club has chartered boats for days out from Brighton, Dartmouth, Deal,
Dover, Langstone Harbour (Hayling Island),Exmouth, Keyhaven, Minehead, Newhaven, Ramsgate, Watchet
and Weymouth.
To vary the fishing and/or to get more fishing per mile travelled the club has organised
short breaks (2 days – 1 week) in Alderney, Courtmacsherry (Ireland), Dartmouth, Exmouth,
Guernsey, Minehead, Mawganporth (nr Padstow) Tobermory Bay (Scotland) Weymouth and Whitby.
Members also get together in small groups or travel singly to more exotic locations all over
the world such as Florida, Kenya, Namibia, Seychelles and New Zealand.
The club also encourages members to enter competitions. This year, Guildford "A" team (Mick and Chris) won
the Conger Club Affiliated Clubs Championship at Plymouth.
